• This material will not pass city inspection and is not approved for use in the following cities: Houston, Bellaire, Katy, Hunters Creek, Piney Point Village, Pasadena, West University Place, Missouri City, Southside Place, Sugar Land, and many others.

• This product has little tensile strength. It is easily cracked by a shovel and often becomes deformed under normal use. Root intrusion is a common occurrence.


• It cannot be cleaned with an auger as PVC can.


• The fittings ‘snap’ together – another future entry point for roots. However, the contractor may do a first rate job and duct tape the fittings. Awesome!


• What we find with corrugated systems is… to put it plainly, usually a mess. The systems get clogged easily and do not perform as intended.


• If a contractor is wanting to install this material, he’s not looking out for your best interests. At best he’s naïve about the properties of corrugated pipe.


• Why do contractors use this inferior material? Because it’s cheap and fast to install. Companies using this material usually just dig a trench and cover up the pipe. Shooting elevations isn’t necessary when using this construction method.
